We are facing another edition of the Health Policy Program for the prevention of tick-borne diseases (Lyme disease) for the years 2023-2025 for the residents of Wroc\u0142aw County. Diseases transmitted by ticks, such as Lyme disease, are becoming an increasing threat to our health. The response to the growing risk is a program initiated and financed by Wroc\u0142aw County. Its main goal is to increase awareness of the threats associated with ticks and provide residents with the necessary medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ticks, which carry Lyme disease and other diseases, pose a real threat, especially to people who spend a lot of time outdoors. Farmers, hunters, forest workers, and all nature lovers are increasingly exposed to these parasites. That is why it is so important for us all to be aware of the symptoms and ways to prevent tick-borne diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Knowledge is the key to health! That is why the basis of the program are educational activities prepared by NZOZ Tw\u00f3j Lekarz. During outdoor events organized in the Municipalities of Wroc\u0142aw County, information materials will be distributed and screening tests will be carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The campaign is not limited to education alone. Part of the program are free diagnostic and therapeutic consultations. Specialists will be available for people identified as high-risk groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the indications are confirmed, tests for Lyme disease will be performed. Early detection of this disease allows for more effective treatment and minimizes the risk of serious complications, such as neurological problems, joint pain or heart problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
