We love these kinds of meetings the most – preschoolers from Tyniec visited our clinic. They asked us how to wash their hands, why it's worth taking up sports, and what a heartbeat sounds like. We answered these questions together with our mascot – the Super Doctor.
Nothing will ensure better health than preventative care from a young age. Hence the idea and involvement of NZOZ "Twój Lekarz" employees in an educational campaign aimed at preschoolers. The sessions with groups from the School and Preschool Complex in Tyniec Mały took place on April 18th – a total of approximately 150 children attended. Angelika Kogut, a medical doctor, who led the sessions, told the preschoolers why they should drink plenty of water, enjoy exercise, and eat vegetables. She also demonstrated how to maintain good hygiene by frequently washing their hands and teeth. She was assisted by a Super Doctor mascot, who distributed stickers, vitamin lollipops, and balloons to the young patients. The children also had the opportunity to take souvenir photos. Through play, we wanted to interest children in the subject of health. The little ones learned why it is worth going to the doctor and how to examine their bellies. The children also listened to their heartbeats and learned more about the work of a doctor. The atmosphere of the meeting was wonderful – says Aleksandra Chlebik-Olender, a family doctor and co-founder of the "Twój Lekarz" (Your Doctor) network of neighborhood medical facilities. The huge success of the campaign has led to further plans. Information about where and when the meetings will be held will be posted on our Facebook page. We invite you!
This discussion addresses key issues related to recognizing infections, interpreting symptoms, and how to manage a child's illness. Particular attention is paid to the practical aspects of childcare and situations requiring medical consultation.
The May long weekend is a time for outdoor relaxation, but it's also a time when the topic of ticks returns with a vengeance. It's worth remembering that ticks aren't limited to forests. They're increasingly appearing in city parks, allotments, and even neighborhood lawns.
With the arrival of spring, the Your Doctor brand takes on a more distinctive form. The new symbol reflects what matters most to us: empathy, closeness, and safety.
