HEALTH AS A GIFT FOR WOMEN'S DAY

NZOZ Twój Lekarz has begun a series of presentations dedicated to women's health! Several dozen people gathered at weekend meetings in Cieszyce and Pustków Wilczkowskie. Women who care about the health of their loved ones on a daily basis often do not find time to take care of their own bodies, go for preventive examinations, have cytology, breast ultrasound and mammography. Anna Zygarlicka from NZOZ Twój Lekarz encouraged the participants of the meetings to have preventive examinations and a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to a large dose of knowledge, there were also "practical classes". Women who participated in the presentations had the opportunity to check their blood pressure and blood sugar levels. There was also an opportunity to learn how to self-examine their breasts on a special medical dummy. The classes were led by NZOZ Twój Lekarz midwife Izabela Ksyta-Moćko. Cancer prevention is of particular importance. As indicated by the latest report of the National Institute of Public Health, almost half of Polish women have never had any diagnostic tests that could exclude the risk of cancer, allow for diagnosis at an early stage, when there is a good chance of complete recovery.
A separate thematic block during the presentation was the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, including physical activity and a balanced diet. The next meeting in the HEALTHY WOMAN series is scheduled for March 15 in Krzyżowice.
A sudden sore throat before an important meeting, a fever during the workweek, or a flare-up of chronic illness symptoms at the most unexpected moment. In these situations, patients don't want to wait for an appointment. They want a quick consultation, a safe medical decision, and clear instructions on what to do next.
Many patients seek medical attention only when disturbing symptoms appear. However, some illnesses develop painlessly and without any obvious warning signs. This is why the nationwide program "My Health" was created, which allows adults to assess their health and detect risk factors at an early stage.
