The latest flu vaccines are now available in the NZOZ "Twój Lekarz" network of clinics. Experts agree - this is the best prevention. Come with your whole family and don't get the flu!

Influenza is one of the purest infectious diseases transmitted by droplets and air. The autumn-winter season is traditionally the period of the highest incidence of illness. Meanwhile, the best, safest way to protect against influenza is vaccination. They are recommended by, among others, the World Health Organization, the National Institute of Hygiene and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.

In our climate zone, it is best to get vaccinated now – from September to the end of December. The idea is to get there before the peak of infections, which in Poland is observed from January to the end of March. Virtually anyone can get vaccinated. Special recommendations apply to:
• children over 6 months of age,
• people over 65 years of age,
• pregnant women,
• people suffering from chronic diseases (e.g. asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases),
• people with reduced immune resistance,
• people staying in large groups (e.g. offices, schools, public transport).

A vaccine is produced each year and is tailored to the subtypes of the virus that are most likely to be active at that time. Currently, so-called quadrivalent vaccines are available, which protect against four strains of the flu virus – two type A and two type B.

With the health of its patients in mind, NZOZ "Twój Lekarz" is now offering the latest, quadrivalent vaccines against influenza. The cost includes the vaccine and its administration. More information is available at 71 311 12 36.
