PREVENT LYME DISEASE! TICK-BORNE DISEASE PREVENTION IN WROCŁAW COUNTY

NZOZ Twój Lekarz is launching a free health policy programme for the prevention of tick-borne diseases (Lyme disease) for the years 2023–2025 for residents of the Wrocław District

Why is it worth paying attention to Lyme disease?

Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in Europe and North America. We are seeing a steady increase in cases in Poland. Although Lyme disease is relatively easy to treat in the early stages, a delay in diagnosing it can result in serious complications, such as neurological problems, joint or cardiological problems.

How to become a participant in the program?

If you are a resident of Wrocław County, work in the agriculture or forestry sector, or are exposed to contact with ticks (e.g. you were bitten but not tested) – please report it!

Benefits of participating in the program:

– possibility of diagnostic and therapeutic consultation,

– access to diagnostic tests for Lyme disease,

– if necessary, referral to an infectious disease specialist,

– access to educational materials on the prevention of tick-borne diseases.

How to join the program?

– by phone: 71 311 12 36 ext. 03

– in person: at NZOZ Your Doctor facilities

Take care of your health and prevent Lyme disease now!

The program is financed from the budget of Wrocław County.

08/04/2026 | How to train to strengthen your heart?

In this episode of WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAYS, we discuss contraindications to physical activity, the optimal type of training for the heart, the importance of sleep and recovery, and the impact of stress and stimulants on the circulatory system. The discussion is based on a cardiologist's clinical experience and addresses patients' daily health decisions.

World Health Day, a good time to take care of them
