We celebrate World Heart Day every year on the last Sunday of September to remind people how important prevention and taking care of the circulatory system are.

Autumn marks the beginning of the infectious disease season. During this time, the number of cases increases significantly, and patients increasingly ask about the possibility of using commercial GP services on weekends.

The NZOZ Your Doctor clinic in Kobierzyce offers consultations with a pediatric endocrinologist as part of the National Health Fund's Coordinated Care program. Consultations are provided by Dr. Anna Skiba, a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases in children.

In this episode, WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAYS, Dariusz Litera talks to Dr. Anna Skiba, a pediatrician, about the causes of whooping cough recurrence, the course of the disease, its contagiousness, and the role of vaccinations, both mandatory for children and recommended for adults and pregnant women.

You can now register for free COVID-19 vaccinations through the NZOZ Twój Lekarz network. Registration is open by phone, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., at 71 311 12 36. The vaccination campaign at clinics will begin on September 23. 

On September 8th, we celebrate National Paramedic Day. This is a special day to honor those who provide assistance every day in the most difficult moments. On this occasion, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all paramedics for their courage, dedication, and professionalism.

The Kobierzyce Municipal Harvest Festival is coming soon, bringing a healthy dose of fun. On the weekend of August 23rd and 24th, we invite you to the Kobierzyce stadium, where, in addition to traditional harvest festival attractions, there will also be activities prepared by the NZOZ Twój Lekarz (Your Doctor Public Healthcare Facility) and the Health Promotion Foundation.

Free tests as part of the nationwide Cervical Cancer Prevention Program are available at NZOZ Your Doctor clinics! The program has recently been expanded to include modern HPV HR genetic testing and, if the test result is positive, liquid-based cytology (LCC).

Summer is the perfect time to take stock of your child's health. During the summer, the number of respiratory infections and other infectious diseases among children decreases significantly. The frequency of pediatrician visits also decreases.
