Free testing as part of the nationwide Cervical Cancer Prevention Program is available at NZOZ Your Doctor clinics! The program was recently expanded to include modern HPV HR genetic testing and, if the test result is positive, liquid-based cytology (LBC), which significantly increases diagnostic accuracy and patient convenience.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM?

The program is open to all healthy women aged 25 to 64 who are asymptomatic. Only women eligible for National Health Fund (NFZ) healthcare services are eligible for the test. It is important that they do not have any symptoms suggesting cervical disease at the time of registration.

HOW TO USE THE PROGRAM?

If you'd like to take advantage of free preventive screenings, please check if you meet the program's eligibility criteria. Detailed information can be found at National Health Fund website and in the official announcement by the Ministry of Health

If you are in the group covered by free access to tests, register with the NZOZ Your Doctor Gynecological Clinic and our staff will help you arrange a convenient appointment date.

HOW OFTEN ARE TESTS PERFORMED?

  • Every 3 years if previous test results were normal.
  • Every 5 years if the HPV HR test result is negative and there are no risk factors.
  • Every 12 months if you have risk factors such as HIV, HPV infection or taking immunosuppressive medications.
  • Detailed testing intervals following a positive HPV HR test result will be determined by your doctor.

WHY IS IT WORTH IT?

Pap tests are painless, safe and allow for early detection of changes that may lead to cervical cancer, often before any symptoms appear.

COMPLETE THE DECLARATION AND FULLY BENEFIT FROM NFZ CARE

To fully benefit from free services reimbursed by the National Health Fund (NFZ), it is worth remembering an important element: supplementing the declaration with the choice of a nurse, and in the case of women and girls, also a midwife.
