A pulmonologist is a lung disease specialist. He deals with the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory system diseases.

Signs that indicate the need for consultation include:

  • getting tired quickly and having trouble catching your breath even with little effort;
  • dyspnoea,
  • wheezing,
  • cough
  • blood in sputum
  • recurring lung and bronchial infections
  • rapid or slow, shallow or deep breathing
  • lung injuries resulting from chest injuries;
  • You should also see a pulmonologist if you are a smoker or often spend time around people who smoke.
