Osteoporosis is an asymptomatic disease that affects more and more people. The number of people with the disease in Poland is estimated at over 2.5 million. The disease causes changes in the structure of bones, making them very susceptible to fractures. Women after menopause most often suffer from osteoporosis. Studies show that every third Polish woman over the age of 50 suffers from it.

Densitometry is a basic method of diagnosing osteoporosis, also in the asymptomatic stage, i.e. before any fractures appear. The test is painless and consists of radiological measurement of bone tissue from the lumbar spine. The entire procedure takes a few minutes. The densitometric testing campaign in Kobierzyce is the result of cooperation between NZOZ Twój Lekarz and specialists from MD Multi Diagnostica.
