PROFESSIONAL HELP IN FIGHTING ALCOHOL ADDICTION

Helping people struggling with alcohol addiction – this is the latest project implemented in NZOZ Your Doctor. Patients who want to overcome their addiction can use commercial packages consisting of a consultation with a specialist in psychiatry and treatment with an anti-alcohol implant. The combination of two methods gives a greater chance of overcoming alcoholism.

The implant is a tablet with the active substance disulfiram, also known as esperal. The drug has an immediate effect of discouraging alcohol consumption. The procedure of implanting the preparation, preceded by a medical consultation, is performed by a surgeon under local anesthesia. The duration of the procedure is about 30 minutes.
