November is the month of awareness of cancer threats in men worldwide. It is primarily about prostate and testicular cancer. The main goal of the campaign known as Movember is to change men's approach to intimate health, break the shame associated with tests and encourage prevention. The symbol of the campaign is the mustache that men promoting it grow in November.

Together with our partners: Health Promotion Foundation and the company Pluspharma we break the taboo and talk in an accessible way about diseases that threaten men. As it turns out, early detected "male cancers" can be cured in over 90 percent of cases. Otherwise, they are a deadly threat. In 30 years, the incidence of prostate cancer in Poland has increased almost fourfold. Every year, over 10 thousand men hear such a diagnosis.

“Regular testing is the only way to reverse these unfavourable statistics,” he emphasises. urologist, Dr. Waldemar Bonczar. The specialist is a guest on the November series of medical podcasts WHAT DOES YOUR DOCTOR SAY? Every Wednesday in November, a powerful dose of reliable knowledge will be presented on the most popular podcast platforms and on the website www.twojlekarz.net

Men who decide to check their health status can go for preventive tests conducted at clinics NZOZ Your Doctor in Bielany Wrocławskie and at Zakładowa Street 11E/1 in Wrocław. The campaign of preventive urological examinations under the slogan HEALTH – A MALE THING will start on November 17. You can register for the tests by phone at 71 311 12 36
