The “Sugar under control” campaign we organised was met with great interest from residents – several dozen people took part in free tests. The campaign was connected with World Diabetes Day in November. On Saturday, November 28, our clinics in Kobierzyce and Ślęza were open to everyone who decided to check their body and take care of their health. A lot of people registered before the campaign, but there was also no shortage of people who came to the clinic spontaneously. Each patient received an individual test card, with which they reported to the nurse for tests of blood sugar level, blood pressure, abdominal circumference and BMI. Then, with the completed card, they went to a separate office for a consultation with a primary care physician. They could also talk about diabetes prevention, proper diet and lifestyle or the procedure in the event of the disease being detected. If the results suggested the need for further, more specialized treatment, it was possible to immediately make an appointment with a diabetologist or dietitian.

CONTROL YOUR SUGAR ON WORLD DIABETES DAY

Every day, thousands of people are diagnosed with diabetes! This disease develops silently and for long periods of time produces no obvious symptoms. In Poland, approximately 3 million people have diabetes, and another 5 million live with prediabetes.

NEW ORGANIZATION OF SEASONAL VACCINATIONS

The autumn and winter infectious season is a time of increased risk of illness, especially among young children. During this period, it is especially important that healthy individuals, such as those coming for vaccinations, avoid contact with patients presenting with symptoms of infection.
