Protection against COVID-19 has made it necessary for normal functioning in many areas to have new forms of contact. So we have remote lessons at school, teleconferences in companies and work using various types of communicators. In healthcare, teleconsultations have proven necessary - doctor's visits via phone or the Internet. As it turned out, they are just as effective as in-person visits, because the most important thing is to help patients quickly.

How to make a teleconsultation stress-free and beneficial for the patient? We remind you of a set of basic recommendations for patients prepared by the College of Family Physicians in Poland:

  1. Think ahead about the health issues you want to discuss.
  2. Make sure the following are available within your reach:
    1. packages of medicines you use,
    2. information cards from previous treatment, e.g. hospital treatment,
    3. results of measurements taken at home, e.g. blood pressure, glucose,
    4. identity card,
    5. paper and pen.
  3. Please be patient while waiting for your teleconsultation.
  4. Answer the phone from the doctor in person.
  5. Tell your doctor if you have hearing problems.
  6. Conduct the conversation in a place where you can hear each other well.
  7. Keep information short and to the point.

According to doctors, following these recommendations can significantly increase the effectiveness of teleconsultations and improve the comfort of patients waiting for professional help.

HELP YOUR CHILD START THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR CALMLY

September greets us not only with cooler mornings but also a new chapter in the lives of many families.
