FROM SEPTEMBER TO A PSYCHOLOGIST WITHOUT REFERRAL

Under new regulations, a referral from a primary care physician is no longer required to schedule an appointment with a psychologist funded by the National Health Fund. This is a significant improvement, allowing patients to receive professional psychological support more quickly and without unnecessary formalities.

HOW CAN YOU SIGN UP?

To register for the Psychological Counseling Center of NZOZ Twój Lekarz, call 71 311 12 36 or in person at the registration desks of any of the network's clinics. Psychological counseling is available in Kobierzyce at 5 Witosa Street and in Wrocław, in the Jagodno housing estate, at 74 Drabika Street.

WHY IS IT WORTH SEEING A PSYCHOLOGIST?

  • helps to cope better with emotions, stress and tension,
  • supports in family, professional and personal difficulties,
  • may indicate further steps in therapy or the need for psychiatric consultation,
  • is the first, safe step to improving your well-being and mental health.

WITHOUT REFERRAL, NOT ONLY TO A PSYCHOLOGIST

The change, introduced by the Ministry of Health on September 17, 2025, is intended to shorten waiting times and facilitate access to specialists. In addition to psychologists, the new rules also apply to optometrists and sports medicine physicians. This allows patients to receive the care they need faster, without the need for a prior appointment with a primary care physician.
