Influenza is an acute infectious disease transmitted by droplets and air. It is caused by viruses. The autumn-winter season is traditionally the period of the highest incidence of illness. The best and safest way to protect against influenza is vaccination, recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), but also by the National Institute of Hygiene and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. The vaccine is produced every year and is adapted to the subtypes of the virus that are most likely to be active in a given year. Anyone can get vaccinated against influenza as a preventive measure, but it is particularly advisable in the case of:
- children over 6 months of age,
- people over 65 years of age,
- pregnant women,
- people suffering from chronic diseases (e.g. asthma, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases),
- people with reduced immune resistance,
- people who stay in large groups (such as offices, schools or dormitories).
In May, the nationwide PILOT PROGRAMME OF FOOT EXAMINATION IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS, the aim of which was to detect posture defects early, came to an end. As part of the program, the NZOZ Your Doctor Rehabilitation Workshop conducted over 3,300 consultations, providing care to almost 2,500 young patients.
Who we are
In our work, we are guided by the idea of a family doctor who provides the patient with comprehensive care at all times, not only when they are ill. Our mission is to take care of the health of residents on a daily basis. We provide health education and promote prevention.
