Care for the entire family, from children to seniors, along with direct contact and a good relationship with patients, is the main strength of family medicine. Specialists in this field not only treat specific ailments, but also prevent illness by educating their patients and referring them for preventive screenings.
"Your Doctor is, first and foremost, a family doctor," says network head Mariola Madler-Litera, a family medicine specialist. "It's a challenging job that requires significant commitment, but at the same time, it guarantees the ability to help people in their immediate surroundings, in small local communities." Family doctors are a crucial group within the NZOZ Twój Lekarz team. Of the 50 physicians providing primary health care, half are family medicine specialists.
