HEALTH PROGRAM OF THE WROCŁAW COUNTY NOMINATED IN THE HEALTHY LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPETITION

Wrocław County was nominated in the competition „"Healthy Local Government"” for being implemented by NZOZ Your Doctor tick-borne disease prevention program for 2023–2025. The competition for the best health program in Polish municipalities, counties and voivodeships is organized by PortalSamorzadowy.pl and Rynek Zdrowia magazine. We cordially encourage you to take part in the vote, which will last until February 12. You can vote here.

The tick-borne disease (Lyme disease) prevention program for residents of Wrocław County is aimed at people who have recently been bitten by ticks and have not undergone tests.

Previous participants of the program could report for consultations at NZOZ Twój Lekarz clinics free of charge and without a referral. Thanks to this, they had access to diagnostic tests and, if necessary, visits to an infectious disease specialist.

All participants of the program received educational materials on the prevention of tick-borne diseases along with access to a series of medical podcasts WHAT DOES YOUR DOCTOR SAY?. You can listen to podcast episodes on: Spotify and YouTube
