YOUR DOCTOR ADVISES - CELEBRATE HEALTHY!

Easter is a special time, which in Polish tradition is closely linked to family feasting. Tables laden with mazurek cakes, Easter babkas and other delicacies are quite a challenge for people who care about their figure or struggle with health problems such as diabetes, hypertension or overweight. So how can you enjoy holiday dishes without giving up on your health and well-being?

The key to maintaining health is moderation and conscious choice of food. When preparing holiday delicacies, we should also look for lighter versions, with less fat and sugar. Excess of the latter combined with lack of physical activity is largely responsible for the appearance of pre-diabetes and diabetes itself.

Are we all at risk? How can we counteract this disease? Answers to these questions in the series podcasts WHAT YOUR DOCTOR SAYS with the participation of diabetologist, Dr. Jacek Bogdał:

Let's not forget about physical activity. Spring weather favors long walks, which can be a great way to spend time with family and help maintain calorie balance. Let's remember that a conscious approach to tradition and care for health and well-being will allow us to enjoy Easter without feeling uncomfortable and negative consequences for our health.
