Summer vacation is a special time when we take a break from the routine of the school year and can enjoy the outdoors more than usual. Sunny days encourage hiking and swimming, and are perfect for trips to the forest.

As you enjoy the joys of summer, it's worth remembering the basic rules that will make your vacation not only enjoyable but also healthy and safe. A collection of such tips has been prepared by GREAT DOCTOR, who will soon visit the participants of the summer camps organized by Kobierzyce Cultural Center.

A mascot liked by the youngest NZOZ Your Doctor will meet with the summer campers in Kobierzyce, Ślęza and Tyniec Mały June 29, July 6, and July 13. The visits will be an opportunity to have fun together and talk about healthy and safe ways to spend your free time.  

RULES FOR HEALTHY AND SAFE REST

  1. During hot weather, remember to use sunscreen, wear a hat and drink at least 1.5 liters of fluids a day.
  2. Wash your hands as often as possible; remember to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating to avoid food poisoning.
  3. When planning a trip to the forest, wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts to reduce the risk of tick bites.
  4. Be careful when relaxing by the water; swim under adult supervision and use guarded swimming areas.
  5. In case of serious incidents/accidents, injuries, immediately inform an adult; call the emergency services using the emergency number 112.

HOW TO COPE DURING THE INFECTION SEASON?

Autumn fog slowly settles on the windows, and thermometers relentlessly show ever-lower temperatures. Pharmacies increasingly often offer "something for a sore throat, something for a fever, something... anything." The infectious season is just beginning to make its presence felt. 

PREVENTION OF TICK-BORNE DISEASES IN THE WROCŁAW COUNTY

Another edition of the Health Policy Program for the Prevention of Tick-Borne Diseases (Lyme disease), implemented between 2023 and 2025 for residents of Wrocław County, is coming to an end.
