ELECTRONIC PRESCRIPTION RULES E-prescriptions usually have a 30-day validity period. The exceptions are antibiotics – 7 days and immunological preparations – 120 days.

A 30-day e-prescription can be redeemed at a later date only if the doctor specifies that the medication should be purchased from a specific date. This is a common solution for medications for chronic diseases.

An e-prescription can also be valid for 365 days in the case of therapy lasting at least a year. Such an e-prescription will be received by chronically ill patients who permanently take specific doses of medication, and the doctor has indicated on the prescription that it is valid for 365 days. The first package can be purchased within 30 days from the date of issue; if we do it later, the pharmacist will issue us a smaller amount of the medication, proportionally to the number of days that have passed since the date of issue of the e-prescription. At one time, a supply of medication for a maximum of 180 days can be purchased.
