Have you had covid19? Check how the fight against the virus has affected your body!

The COVID-19 pandemic, whose successive waves have caused a huge number of illnesses and deaths around the world, has exposed the problems that healthcare systems in many countries are struggling with. It has also shown how important access to primary healthcare, diagnostic tests and prevention is in fighting the disease. In the case of SARS-CoV-2, we currently know the etiology of the disease, but we will probably struggle with its long-term consequences for decades. Studies are underway around the world involving people who have had infections caused by the coronavirus. Only the results of a large number of tests will allow us to draw conclusions about the impact of COVID-19 on the health of the entire population.

For now, one thing is certain: only specific tests and consultations allow for the assessment of a patient's health status after a disease. It's wrong to think that a few simple diagnostic tests or a chest X-ray are enough. In reality, assessing health status relies primarily on the expertise of a physician who deals with the disease and its consequences daily. Additional laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging are merely tools in the hands of a specialist.

The proper selection of tests and their interpretation, physical examination, treating the patient as a "whole" and not treating individual organs, is the goal of comprehensive diagnostics offered in the commercial packages of NZOZ Twój Lekarz. The second goal is to make a medical diagnosis and answer the question of whether worse well-being after illness is the result of organ damage or the effect of weakening of the body requiring convalescence.

The best time for diagnosis is 3-6 months after contracting SARS-CoV-2 or experiencing alarming symptoms. These include persistent weakness, shortness of breath, significant decline in physical performance, and worsening of chronic conditions. After consultations, adherence to recommendations, and rehabilitation, we expect results in improved performance, physical condition, and improved well-being.
