How to eat healthy? Our specialists in the media

Are popular diets for everyone? How to eat to live healthily, but not harm yourself? Our dietetics specialist, Joanna Pieczyńska, PhD, dispels readers' doubts in the magazine "Samo Zdrowie".

The pegan diet is considered the trendiest diet of 2019. It is a combination of a vegan diet with a paleo diet (which is based on meat and fish). Dr. Joanna Pieczyńska, a dietitian who sees patients at our clinic in Kobierzyce on a daily basis, explains step by step to readers of the magazine "Samo Zdrowie" whether this diet is suitable for everyone and whether its use will allow us to lose unnecessary kilograms.

The diet should be individually adjusted to each of us, taking into account age, body weight, physical activity and health condition. The starting point is always the principles of rational nutrition – emphasizes the dietitian and points out that any diet used without consulting a specialist may lead to deficiencies of certain nutrients in the body, such as calcium, zinc or vitamin B.

We recommend checking out the latest issue of Samo Zdrowie magazine (July/August 2019). Dr. Pieczyńska's advice can be found on page 37.
